A method for securing a calculation in a cryptographic algorithm, wherein the calculation of input data is obtained, in order to generate output data items, with the following steps:Providing (10) of the input data for the calculation; performing (12) of the calculation, in order to obtain the output data of the calculation;after performing the calculation, checking (14), whether the input data during the calculation, have been changed, with the use of a check algorithm, which differs from the calculation; andif the checking (14) is that the input data during the calculation, have been changed, suppress (16) of a transmission of the output data of the calculation.
