The present invention relates to the use of a first agent that attenuates topoisomerase II (Topo II) activity and a second agent that inhibits Heat Shock Protein 90 (HSP90) for use in chemotherapy. The agents are particularly useful in the treatment of cancer and destruction of micro-organisms. The invention also relates to screening methods, diagnostic methods and methods for evaluating or monitoring chemotherapy regimens.
