The present invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid comprising a nucleic acid sequence coming from an alternative splicing in the region gagpol of an mlv (murine leukaemogenic virus) and encoding a protein sd 'capable of increasing the infectivity of viral vectors. The present invention also relates to the vectors derived from viruses, more particularly from retroviruses, for the production of packaging line and the viral particles produced by these encapsidation lines.
