The invention relates to an outdoor sports and leisure installation. The aim of the invention is to provide an outdoor installation that is protected from the effects of the weather. It is known that sports and leisure activities are carried out indoors, thereby inter alia giving sufficient protection from wind so as to allow for regular matches when using, for example, extremely light-weight competition shuttlecocks. Further, a hall protects the players from the dazzling effects caused by direct sunlight. Indoor activities, however, withhold the outdoor experience from the players. They are cut off from air, light, the odors and the noise beyond the hall confines. This problem is solved by providing the required protection from wind and sunlight by way of a movable construction that is covered with fabric membranes and provided with panels. The protection from wind and sunlight responds individually to the outer conditions by moving, displacing or reeling the elements. It can be completely opened or closed. The use of lattice fabrics helps to maintain the contact to the environment even if the protective device is closed.
