The invention relates to the use of carboxylic acid derivatives of general formula (I) R1 - A - B - R2, in which R1, R2, A and B are defined as per Claim No. 1, and to their isomers and salts, particularly their physiologically compatible salts, which have an inhibitory effect on the telomerase. The invention also relates to a method for producing said derivatives, to medicaments containing these compounds, and to their use and production thereof.
