METHOD FOR INDICATING TIME REMAINING TO MODIFICATION OF A LIGHT SIGNAL OF A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND A TRAFFIC LIGHT

The inventive method consists in using three signal lamps (1, 2, 3) for a traffic light in such a way that the glow of each lamp is periodically modified with respect to the light signalling in that time during the optical signalisation, whereby the glow of all three signal lamps (1, 2, 3) is provided by green or red light or the glow of the lamp (2) by amber light at different intervals or simultaneously, two other signal lamps (1,3) being switched off. The optical signalisation of the time remaining for the glowing of the signal lamp (1 or 3) by green or red light n the traffic lights until the amber signal lamp (2) is switched on, is carried out by successively switching off two signal lamps (1,3) of the signal light at fixed intervals, the third signal lamp (2) having the same signal light being permanently switched on. Afterwards, the flashing of the signal lamps (1, 2, 3) is performed during the time remaining prior to the signal change as follows: all three lamps (1, 2, 3) flash simultaneously, the lamps (1, 2) and the lamp (3) are flash at fixed intervals, respectively and the amber lamp (2) is switched on.
