The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a simple method for producing self-cleaning surfaces that, after having been damaged, have antimicrobial properties in the very areas that have been damaged. This aim is achieved by incorporating antimicrobial polymers into the coating or paint systems for fixating structurizers for producing self-cleaning surfaces. In this manner, the antimicrobial polymers are stably incorporated into a self-cleaning surface and become effective after damages to the surfaces.
