Overload protection arrangement for DC power loads

Overload protection arrangement for a direct-current power load, adapted to be connected to a power supply source comprising a reversing switch means included in a power supply line to said power load and adapted to annihilate the difference of electric potential between the terminals of said power load through their automatically actuated connection to the same polarity of the power supply. In a preferred manner, such an overload protection arrangement is capable of being used in automatic motor-vehicle power-window or door-lock actuation systems and comprises: a polarity reversing switch; a changeover switch actuatable by a respective relay included in the power supply line and arranged to be set in a first switching position to connect a definite power-supply polarity to a definite terminal of said power load, and in a second switching position to connect the opposite polarity of the power supply to the same above cited terminal of said power load; a central control unit adapted to operate said relay.
