The invention relates to a material- and heat-exchanger reactor, which comprises material- and heat-exchanger surfaces that guarantee the formation of an extremely thin liquid film, which extends continuously over the entire material- and heat-exchanger surface. The material- and heat-exchanger reactor comprises two channel systems, which are separated by material and thermally coupled to one another. One of said channel systems (heat-exchanger channel system) is traversed by a liquid or gaseous heating or cooling medium (KHM) and the other channel system (material-exchanger channel system) is traversed by a gaseous medium (GM) and by an additional liquid medium (FM). The reactor is also provided with at least one reactor double plate (2), on whose surfaces the material- and heat-exchanger surfaces (18) are located. Said material- and heat-exchanger surfaces (18) are coated with a thin layer (21) consisting of small solid-body particles (22), in such a way that clearances and cavities (24) are formed between the individual solid-body particles (22) as a result of their shape and arrangement.
