METHOD FOR TREATING ORGANIC LIQUID USING OZONE GAS AND APPARATUS FOR OZONE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC LIQUID FOR USE IN SAID METHOD

A method for subjecting an organic material containing liquid to an oxidation treatment through the introduction of an ozone gas thereto, which comprises admixing the organic liquid to be subjected to an oxidation treatment with an ozone gas from a supply source for an ozone gas so as for the ozone gas to contact with the organic liquid in the form of fine bubbles in a reacting section, introducing the liquid after the admixing into a liquid- gas separator to degas it and remove an excessive ozone gas, and then taking out the resulting treated liquid product; and an apparatus for use in the method. The liquid after the admixing is preferably pressurized prior to the introduction to the liquid-gas separator, since the pressurization promotes the dissolution of an ozone gas. The circulation and continuous treatment of the liquid is desirable for downsizing of the apparatus and the separated ozone gas is preferably circulated for reuse. The method can be employed for the oxidation treatment of various types of organic liquids, especially for the production of a liquid fertilizer from an urine of a domestic animal, with good efficiency.
