Shaped body and method for the semi-quantitative determination of the density of bones, bone-substitute material and bone implants

The component has two or more parallel surfaces and comprises three or more different materials, each with a different density. Independent claims are included for: (a) a density measuring method in which the component is mounted on the skin in the center of the investigated area with a radiation permeable adhesive strip so that all three materials are visible and an X-ray is then taken, e.g. by a scanner; and (b) a use for the component for calibrating of picture analysis systems during the density determination. Preferred Features: The component includes two or more reference bodies in a lower density carrier material and has a volume of 1-10 cm3.
