A circuit is designed with an estimate circuit (422) coupled to receive a plurality of input signals (R1j ,R2j ) from an external source along a plurality of paths (j) and at least one known signal (S₁). The correction circuit produces a first symbol estimate (S_m) in response to the plurality of estimate signals and the plurality of input signals. The correction circuit produces a second symbol estimate (S_n) in response to the plurality of estimate signals and the plurality of input signals.
