Transmission of the calling party number for calls from the private to the public telecommunication network

The caller number transmission method has a service control point within the public telephone network (PUBNET) triggered by reception of a connection request from a private network subscriber (A), when the called public network subscriber (B) lies in a different local area, for providing the identification for the local area (AREA1) corresponding to the location of the calling subscriber. Also included are Independent claims for the following; (a) a service control point for assisting caller number transmission; (b) a private telephone network
