摘要

A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for estimating a potential performance of a codesign from an executable specification. First, commands relating to functions are received. The commands are compiled into an executable hardware model. The model is executed in a virtual operating environment. Profiling date is generated during execution and analyzed. A list of data transfers between at least a portion of the functions is output. Also output is an estimate of running time of each function.
