Disclosed is a method for producing pearl culture grafts from a band (7) that is cut out of the mantle of a donor oyster, said band comprising a layer of fibrous tissue (4) which is provided with one side that is covered by an outer epithelium (5) and an opposite side that is covered by an inner epithelium (6). According to the inventive method, the layer of fibrous tissue (4) is cut along an intermediate plane that is located between the outer epithelium (5) and the inner epithelium (6).
