A training aid for cutting hair and a method of cutting hair using the training aid capable of easily acquiring an accurate hair cutting technique in a short period, the training aid for cutting hair comprising a human head doll without hair or a drawing showing a human head without hair having a centerline (1) for equally dividing the human head into right and left parts, an ear-to-ear line (2) formed on a vertical face through a line connecting the rear end parts of right and left tabs to each other, and a head change line (3) formed on a vertical face through a line connecting the parts 2 to 3 centimeters backward from right and left mastoids formed on the surface of the human heads thereof, wherein when the human hair is cut, the surface of the head is divided into blocks on the right and left sides of the centerline (1), a block at the rear of the ear-to-ear line (2), and a block on the front side of the head change line (3) partly overlapped with the block at the rear of the ear-to-ear line (2), and the hair is cut for each block.
