The invention relates to liquid scintillation alpha-spectrometry, in particular to methods for counting activity of alpha-radiating radionuclides, for example in the samples of intermediate and final products of a radioisotope production and of the treatment of waste nuclear fuel, and also in samples of aerosol emissions, water effluents and environmental objects. The aim of said invention is to reduce the error and the lower limit of the liquid scintillation alpha-spectrometric counting of radionuclides activity and to quantify different radionuclides when they are simultaneously present in the analysed sample. The inventive method for liquid scintillation alpha-spectrometric counting of radionuclides activity used for identifying the alpha-spectrum of the analysed samples consists in introducing any radionuclide in the form of a label into a solution of liquid scintillator and radionuclides extracted from the analysed sample, determining the position of an alpha-peak with respect to the scale of an amplitude analyser by comparing the alpha-spectrum of the sample with the alpha-spectrum of the sample containing the label and in defining the spectral region of the sample which is modified by the action of the alpha-peak of the radionuclide-label. The decomposition of alpha-spectra into the components thereof is carried out using pre-received data on the shape of the alpha-peaks, on the dependence of the half-width of said alpha-peaks on the position thereof in the alpha spectrum, and on the dependence of the relative position of the alpha-peaks of the different definable radionuclides and the radionuclide selected as a label on the energy of the alpha particles of said definable radionuclides.
