Unsaturated organosilane(s) (I), in liquid form or on a carrier, or a formulation containing (I), in liquid form or on a carrier, free radical generator(s) (II) and optionally a crosslinking catalyst (III) is used for the production of a moisture-curable, filled cable compound based on a thermoplastic basic polymer (IV) and a mineral filler (V). ??Independent claims are also included for: ??(1) production of a moisture-cured and filled cable compound by feeding thermoplastic compound(s) and (V) or filled thermoplastic compound(s), optionally containing silane, and (III), (II) and (I) or a formulation containing (I), (II) and/or (III) to an extruder, extrusion, optionally with supply of a metal wire(s), and curing the extrudate in the presence of moisture; ??(2) resultant moisture-cured, filled cable compounds containing (IV) and a reinforcing, extending or flame-retardant mineral filler; ??(3) a cable with metal wire enclosed in the cured filled compound; and ??(4) a cable with optionally insulated wire bundle enclosed in the cured filled compound.
