Computer-implemented method and computer system for editing text elements in a document (200). A user is prompted with at least one namespace representation (NSR-1', NSR-2') corresponding to a namespace (NS-1, NS-2) that is valid for the document (200). The user selects a namespace representation (NSR-1') that corresponds to a namespace (NS-1). A further namespace representation (NSR-1) of the selected namespace (NS-1) is inserted into the document (200). The user is prompted with text element representations (TER-1', TER-3') of text elements (TE-1, TE-3) that are assigned to the selected namespace (NS-1) in a library (210). The user selects a text element representation (TER-3') that corresponds to selected text element (TE-3). A further selected text element representation (TER-3) that corresponds to the selected text element (TE-3) is inserted (470) into the document (200).
