The invention relates to a threaded mechanism that translates a rotational movement into a translational movement. Said mechanism comprises a spindle (1), a nut (2) surrounding said spindle and interposed therebetween rolling bodies that are disposed in a threaded groove (4) provided on the outer surface of the spindle (1) and in a corresponding threaded groove provided on the inner surface of the nut (2) and roll off in said grooves. The nut (2) comprises a plurality of profiled rings (5, 6) that are disposed one after the other in the axial direction of the spindle (1) and that mutually support one another. The threaded groove of the nut (2) is formed by two adjoining profiled rings (5, 6) and the two adjoining rings (5, 6) are fastened to each other with a gap (7) in between.
