The operating valve for a double acting pneumatic cylinder (8) with working chambers (8.3,8.4) uses a 3/2 way valve as a switching valve (L1). The non-operational switching valves of the 3/2 valve (L5) take the compressed air through-flow position when the switching valve is in the air vent position for one branch (L3).
