Wastewater Treatment Apparatus using Internal Recycle in ICEAS

PURPOSE: An intermittent cycle extended aeration system of internal recycle type for sewage/wastewater treatment is provided, which is characterized in that sludge of a secondary reactor is recycled into a primary reactor through a sludge recycle pipe line. Therefore contact time of bacteria of sludge and organics is increased, and removal efficiency of organics, nitrogen, and phosphorus is improved. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a primary reactor(4), a secondary reactor(2) for treating sewage/wastewater. Air for bacteria growth is supplied by an air supply valve(5). Sludge of the secondary reactor(2) is recycled into the primary reactor(4) through a sludge pump(12), a valve(15), and the sludge recycle pipe line(14). The system uses bacteria of sludge repeatedly by recycle, so treatment efficiency is improved.
