PURPOSE: A control method of a transmission control unit is provided to maintain the smooth transmission function by using an organic relation between a throttle position sensor and an air amount sensor at a defect of the throttle position sensor. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner is judged whether on a turned on state or not, without regard to a defect of a throttle position sensor. In defecting the throttle position sensor and turning on the air conditioner, an output voltage of the throttle positions sensor is learned according to an air amount sensor through an on learning map of the air conditioner. In defecting the throttle position sensor and turning off the air conditioner, the output voltage of the throttle position sensor is learned according to the air amount sensor through an off learning map of the air conditioner. An opening of the throttle position sensor is set and transmitted according to the output voltage. A transmission time and a transmission are performed according to the transmitted information. Thereby, the transmission function is smoothly maintained by an organic relation between the throttle position sensor and the air amount sensor.
