PURPOSE: An Internet fingerprint authentication solution is provided to authenticate an approved user rapidly and reliably based on a secure communication between a fingerprint input device of a user and a server on a network remotely. CONSTITUTION: Authentication information such as an ID, a password, a token, a smart card, etc. having various problems such as a loss, a theft, a forgetfulness, etc. being generated in various authentication systems for authenticating a user is replaced with a living body fingerprint. A registration, deletion, and authentication service by a fingerprint is supplied through a cryptographic communication on all networks including the Internet. A fingerprint database is resided in a memory of a server in stead of a hard disk. Thus, when a user inputs one's fingerprint in a fingerprint input device at an authentication process without inputting an ID, an authentication is achieved promptly.
