A plurality of coils wound with metal nails are to be treated, and the coils are transferred by a transfer line of coils in which various transfer means are combined with various devices including a welding machine, and sequentially processed by a welding machine, and then in the transfer direction of the coils. By looking at the coil in the previous position while absorbing the relaxation of the jaw to transfer the coil in the rear position, and to provide a transfer method of the coil overlapping on the position coil.;The transfer method of the coil which concerns on this invention is the loading table 4, the inversion table 5, the inlet side turntable 6, the inlet side guide roll 7, the welding machine 8, and the outlet from the inlet side to the outlet side. Arrange and arrange each device, such as the side guide roll 9, the auxiliary guide roll 10, and the exit turntable 11 in order, and advancing and retreating freely and selectively from the inlet side to the exit position in those upper positions. It is supposed to be performed by the transfer line L of the whole coil which stopped at the upper position of each apparatus, and pulled out a coil by a suction means, or combined the transfer apparatus 1 which supplies a coil freely.
