The present invention relates to a film forming method of carbon nanotubes for obtaining an inexpensive electric field electron emission source formed in a predetermined pattern by using carbon nanotubes, and the copper plate 23 to which the adhesive tape 24 is adhered in a predetermined pattern. The single layer carbon nanotubes are deposited on the copper plate 23 by putting the solution 22 into the beaker 21 together with the solution 22 obtained by dispersing the single layer carbon nanotubes. The adhesive tape 24 is peeled from the copper plate 23 on which the single-wall carbon nanotubes are deposited to obtain the single-wall carbon nanotubes adhered and deposited in a predetermined pattern on the copper plate 23, and this is used as the electron emission source of the electron tube. .
