A sampled fiber grating filter and its fiber grating systems

PURPOSE: A sampled fiber grating filter and a fiber grating system using the same are provided, which realizes a fiber grating having a characteristics of multi peaks by varying a transmission and reflection spectrum of the fiber grating by applying a pressure(strain) or a force periodically or nonperiodically to the fiber grating or a part of the fiber grating. CONSTITUTION: A sampled fiber grating filter(SFGF) includes a fiber(10) formed with a fiber grating(20) having a random refractive index, and a pressure member, and a supporting plate fixing and supporting the fiber. The pressure member has a pressure rugged part pressing a random area of the fiber grating and having a random angle as to a propagation direction of a fiber waveguide to generate a multi peak in a reflection and transmission spectrum of the fiber grating by varying the refractive index of the fiber grating. The fiber grating has at least more than one different refractive indexes.
