The cable TV network management system using cable modem

摘要

PURPOSE: A remote management for cable TV transport network using a cable modem is provided to confirm malfunction of the transport network by checking even terminal devices, and transmit more data at high speed by utilizing the currently being used Internet equipment. CONSTITUTION: A device for remotely managing and monitoring includes a data converter converting RS-232 protocol into TCP-IP protocol to transmit data transmitted from a terminal device(1) via a cable modem(3); the cable modem converting the data into QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) modulation and transmitting the converted data, receiving the QPSK modulated signal and demodulating the QPSK modulated signal to be recognized by a server(5) managing the data.
