A method for providing Multimedia Broadcasting Service using Cell Broadcasting Service in mobile telecommunication network

PURPOSE: A method of servicing multimedia broadcasting using a cell broadcasting service in a mobile communication network is provided to supply a multimedia broadcasting service by using an existing cell broadcasting service as a unilateral character broadcasting service with the use of an SMS. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication network constructs a multimedia contents server(S201). The network loads access information for various registered multimedia contents into a broadcasting message for a cell broadcasting service, and transmits the broadcasting message(S202,S203). A mobile terminal receives the access information included in the broadcasting message to interpret the message, and displays the interpreted broadcasting message(S204). The mobile terminal drives a built-in program for the corresponding contents, and accesses the multimedia contents server based on access information selected by a user(S205,S206). The multimedia contents server supplies a contents service corresponding to the selected access information to the mobile terminal(S207).
