Improved barrier compositions for multilayer extrusion and barrier performance

Improved multi-layer coextrusion blow-molded article having at least one barrier layer and the support layer (e.g., a fuel container) has been described in conjunction with the manufacturing method of such a molded article improved. The barrier layer comprises a large amount of the modified polyolefin having substantially the same density and the support layer, wherein the modified polyolefin, and prepared by grafting an unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof to a polyolefin, a modified olefin is a gas barrier layer, the adjacent layer fully attached and it is the amount that the barrier properties of the construct to be still sufficient. The present invention also relates to a rheology-modified high density polyethylene substrate to closely blend than the rheology of (a preferred material for the support layer), a resin, e.g., PET (a preferred material for barrier layer).
