PURPOSE: A water-jet cutter is provided to cut workpieces in water and to reduce noise when cutting the workpieces by cutting the workpieces in water. CONSTITUTION: In a state that workpieces are fixed, a spraying nozzle(38) is moved in X, Y, and Z-directions by means of an actuating section(30) so as to cut the workpieces. A supporting table(31) having a sub motor(32) and a screw(33) is provided in an X-axis direction of the actuating section(30). A conveying table(34) having a sub motor(35) and a screw(37) is provided in a Y-axis direction of the actuating section(30). A sub motor(36) for moving the spraying nozzle(38) is provided in a Z-axis direction of the actuating section(30). A partition is formed at the center of a body(10) so that the body(10) is divided into two working chambers(11). Air tanks(20) with air inlets are formed at each side of the working chambers(11). A lower part of the air tanks(20) are open to the working chambers(11). Water levels are controlled by supplying air into the air tanks(20) through air inlets.
