PURPOSE: A circuit and a method for generating a pseudo-mirror signal of an optical disc system are provided to generate the pseudo-mirror signal in a data non-recording section of a track using a track zero cross signal so as to precisely perform track counting and reduce a track jump error. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for generating a pseudo-mirror signal of an optical disc system includes a control signal generator(100) and a pseudo-mirror signal generator(200). The control signal generator generates a control signal in response to a track zero cross signal, a frequency-divided system clock and a control command of a microcomputer. The pseudo-mirror signal generator generates a pseudo-mirror signal in response to the control signal. The pseudo-mirror signal is generated in a data non-recording section of a track included in an optical disc. A phase difference is generated between the pseudo-mirror signal and the track zero cross signal.
