- OPTICAL MOUSE SENSOR CHIP WITH FUNCTION OF SELF-WAKEUP AND OPTICAL MOUSE HAVING THE SENSOR CHIP

PURPOSE: An optical mouse sensor chip having a self-wakeup function and an optical mouse having the same are provided to operate an internal clock generator at a power saving mode by installing the internal clock generator in the sensor chip of the optical mouse. CONSTITUTION: The optical mouse includes the optical mouse sensor chip(200) detecting the movement according to the control from a mouse control unit(100) controlling entire operations of the optical mouse and providing the data corresponding to the movement to the mouse control unit(100). The optical mouse sensor chip(200) includes a clock detector(210) providing an internal clock generating signal(S1) and a clock selecting signal(S2) according to the clock input by detecting the clock input from the mouse control unit(100), the internal clock generator(220) generating the clock according to the internal generating signal(S1) of the clock detector(210), and a clock selector(230) selecting one from an external clock from the mouse control unit(100) and the internal clock of the internal clock generator(220) according to the clock selecting signal(S2) of the clock detector(210).
