Red Pigment by Submerged Culture of Paecilomyces Sinclairii and Method for Preparing the Same

PURPOSE: Provided are red pigment by submerged culture of Paecilomyces sinclairii and a method for preparing the same. The manufactured red pigment has excellent stability and is thus applied to foods, cosmetics, medicaments, etc. CONSTITUTION: The red pigment is manufactured by submerged culture of Paecilomyces sinclairii characteristically under the following conditions: inoculum age is 3 days; culture temperature is 25deg. C; initial pH is 6.0; carbon source is 1.5%(w/v) of soluble starch; and nitrogen source is 1.5%(w/v) of meat peptone.
