PURPOSE: A laser oscillation device using a cholesteric liquid crystal mirror is provided, which simplifies a laser configuration and makes it compact by constituting a laser resonator without using an additional optic device. CONSTITUTION: The laser oscillation device is constituted by locating a cholesteric liquid crystal mirror(1) acting as a total reflection mirror as to an oscillating laser wavelength, a laser active medium(3), and a cholesteric liquid crystal mirror(2) acting as a partial reflector on a horizontal plane in sequence. The laser active medium is formed with a high crystallographic solid medium like Nd:YAG, and an amorphous solid medium like Nd:glass, and an optical fiber medium like Erbium-Doped-Fiber. And a pump laser(4) is used as a pump light source.
