A SEPARATION AND COLLECTION METHOD OF MONTMORILLONITE MINERAL FROM BENTONITE

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for separating and recovering montmorillonite minerals from bentonite selectively to produce the high purity products having a montmorillonite content of at least 98 wt.%. The method has a good separating efficient and a maximum recovery. CONSTITUTION: The method for separating and recovering montmorillonite minerals from bentonite is executed through steps of irradiating a mineral solution of a bentonite raw ore and water with ultrasonics with stirring the solution to make a libration of montmorillonite minerals and other minerals completely; and separating and recovering the only pure montmorillonite minerals having a montmorillonite content of at least 98 wt.% from the completely liberated mineral solution by manipulating a rotating speed of a centrifuge machine.
