PURPOSE: Provided is root powder of Polygonatum odoratum Druce var. pluriflorum by removing soil, sand etc. from the roots followed by washing and drying them. Therefore a 95% intake of components of Polygonatum odoratum Druce var. pluriflorum is accomplished. CONSTITUTION: The root powder of Polygonatum odoratum Druce var. pluriflorum is characteristically manufactured by collecting and washing roots of Polygonatum odoratum Druce var. pluriflorum; peeling it then washing and cutting it; drying the cut pieces at 85 deg.C for 4 hours with turning it over every one hour; pulverizing them; and optionally applying the powder to foods.
