Embodiment method for multicast packet transmission of Internet Protocol in Cellular network

PURPOSE: An application implementing method for transmission of an IP multicast packet in a mobile communication network is provided to effectively transmit the IP multicasting/broadcasting data received from the Internet to a mobile station. CONSTITUTION: An M/B LAC(Multicast/Broadcast Link Access Controller)(231) receives and stores an IP multicast packet data in its temporary buffer, segments an IP multicast packet to a radio packet frame size, adds a sequence number thereto, and transfers a service data unit(SDU) to a CIBP(Cellular Internet packet Broadcasting Protocol)(221). When the CIBP(221) receives the IP multicast packet data through a multicasting channel of a physical layer(210) in a mobile station, it transfers the CIBP SDU to the M/B LAC(231). Then, the M/C LAC(231) assembles data of the CIBP SDU to form an IP multicast packet. Thereafter, the M/C LAC(231) transfers an application packet to an M/B application(241). When a message requesting an IP multicast is received from a user service layer(242), a PPP link is set up with a PDSN to transfer the multicast requesting message to a network. A signaling link access controller(232) transfers a packet data unit to an upper layer signaling(244), and the upper layer signaling(244) transfers the packet data unit by a data burst to a user service layer(242). The M/B application(241) transfers a packet data to a data service layer(243) in case of a data service.
