PURPOSE: A method for summarizing a default address of the lowest level node in a PNNI(Private Network-Network Interface) of an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switching system is provided to summarize a reachable address for a node almost to the length of an internal prefix, when the PNNI is applied to a public network.
