PURPOSE: To provide a nickel-free whity copper alloy which has superior strength and hardness equal to German silver, further has ductility, is excellent in workability, corrosion resistance and whiteness, does not cause nickel allergy because of including no Ni, and further hardly causes a malfunction in a meter. CONSTITUTION: The nickel-free whity copper alloy comprises CuaZnbTic or CuaZnbTicXd, (where, X is at least one element selected from Al, Sn, Ag and Mn; by mass%, (a) is the balance, 0.5b30, 1c7, and 0.1d4), and the manufacturing method comprises preparing the alloy, heating it at 700-885C, and cooling it.
