AN APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING SLAB SLIPPAGE ON ROLL STAND TO MEASURE THE LENGTH OF SLAB

PURPOSE: A slippage preventing apparatus for measuring length of steel plate is provided in which the front end of steel plate is closely adhered to be stopped accurately by stopper unit to improve specification quality of steel plate, and defect of length shortage of steel plate is prevented to minimize steel plate to be scrap treated. CONSTITUTION: In a stopper unit comprising a stopper installed in rear of dividing shear to support the front end of steel plate (S) so that steel plate (S) is cut, the slippage preventing apparatus for measuring length of steel plate is characterized in that a plural servo cylinders(7) a rod of which is moved back and forth to the side of the dividing shear is installed at the stopper, an electromagnet(12) is fixed to the rod(5) of the servo cylinders(7), and a plural proximity sensors(30a,30b) arranged to the side of the dividing shear with being spaced apart from each other in a certain distance are arranged on a stopper frame(25) at the upper side of the electromagnet(12) so that the front end of the steel plate (S) is positioned at an accurate stop point by reducing speed of the steel plate (S) step by step, relieving advance impulsive force of the steel plate (S) using the servo cylinders(7), and fixing the steel plate (S) using the electromagnet(12) when the steel plate (S) passes through the sensors(30a,30b).
