Triterpenoid compounds with apoptosis-inducing activity on cells

PURPOSE: Provided is a triterpene compound having apoptosis induction effect, which is isolated from Tiarella polyphylla D. Don(Saxifragaceae), and provides an apoptosis controller having excellent apoptosis induction effect. CONSTITUTION: The triterpene compound having apoptosis induction effect is characterized in that the apoptosis has the relation to inflammatory cell. The triterpene compound is a tiarellic acid represented by formula 1, -D-glucopyranosyl(13)- -D-glucopyranosyl(13)-3-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid represented by formula 2, or oleanolic acid represented by formula 3. An apoptosis inducer comprises the triterpene compound as active ingredient.
