PURPOSE: A wireless repeater for controlling forward/reverse gains, automatically setting frequency by using a measurement terminal in a mobile communication repeater and a method of measuring speech quality of repeater base station region and a wireless repeater implementing the same are provided to automatically set the gains as performing gain compensation, and to automatically set a frequency when supplying a repeater service, thereby easily supplying a stable repeater service and simplifying configuration for an automatic frequency setup function. CONSTITUTION: The second detector(255) includes a forward path of a repeater, and detects a receiving signal whose forward gain is controlled. The third detector(206) is connected to a back end of the forward path of the repeater, and detects a signal level outputted through the second antenna(208). An RF switch(210) switches gaps between the first detector(204) and the second detector(255). A measurement terminal(212) is wirelessly connected to the RF switch(210), and receives a signal transmitted from a base station. A controller(214) wirelessly communicates with the measurement terminal(212), controls the RF switch(210) connected to the measurement terminal(212) by switching the first detector(204) and the second detector(255), stores measurement data in a storage, and receives a signal detected from the third detector(206).
