PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically adjusting length of an electrode rod is provided to reduce thermal loss of an electric furnace by shortening time required for adjusting length of the electrode rod. CONSTITUTION: A lifting supporter(3) is vertically installed adjacent to an electric furnace body. A master frame is rotatably installed at a middle portion of the lifting supporter(3). The master frame is horizontally rotated so as to rotate an electrode rod(5). A clamp(6) is fixedly installed at an upper end of the lifting supporter(3) so as to hold the electrode rod(5). A length adjusting apparatus for the electrode rod(5) includes a lifting arm(110) horizontally installed at the lifting supporter(3). The lifting arm(110) is moved up and down by means of a lifting arm moving device(120). A lifting arm clamping device(130) is provided to selectively clamp the electrode rod(5).
