PURPOSE: A ferromagnetic substance making method is provided to gain a ferromagnetic substance of a zinc oxide family by making a zinc become a solid solution. CONSTITUTION: Formed are a sintered body, a single crystal or a thin film where a zinc is included in a zinc oxide with a solid solution state so that the manganese becomes 0.01 to 50 mole% on the basis of a total mole ratio of a metal. The sintered body is formed by sintering a mixture of the zinc oxide and the manganese at 400 to 1800 degrees.
