PURPOSE: A method and a system for sound localization using a sub-band CPSP(Cross Power Spectrum Phase) algorithm are provided to reduce noises of particular bands by using the sub-band CPSP algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of voice input portions receive voice signals and the received voice signals are converted to digital signals(S510). The converted voice signals are inputted into sub-bands and the sub-bands calculate cross power spectrum phases for the inputted voice signals(S520). A mean value of the cross power spectrum phases of each sub-band is calculated(S530). A cross-correlation value is calculated by performing an inverse fourier transform for the mean value of the CPSP(S540). A time delay estimation value is calculated and a position of s sound source is estimated by obtaining a maximum value of the cross-correlation(S550).
