TREATMENT METHOD OF WASTEWATER USING DUST FROM STEEL MAKING PLANT

PURPOSE: A treatment method of wastewater using dust from steelmaking plant is provided, which can efficiently remove pentachlorophenol in wastewater by 86 % using steelmaking dust. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of feeding steelmaking dust with Fe content of 40 to 80 wt.% to wastewater containing pentachlorophenol (PCP) by a rate of 0.5 to 3 g per 100 ppm of pentachlorophenol; feeding coagulant by 1 to 3 ppm, followed by agitating and settling.
