PURPOSE: A method of moving pages by using a page up/down function and a portable phone implementing the same are provided to supply a specific function of moving one page by one page as showing total page numbers and a current page number in order to inform a user of an amount of transmitted data, thereby enabling the user to easily know the amount of the transmitted data. CONSTITUTION: A keypad(210) has a page up and a page down key for performing page moving commands. A memory(230) stores a program of calculating total page numbers according to transmitted data, assigning contents corresponding to each page, and moving between the pages, and stores data for driving the program. A controller(200) performs a function of controlling information retrieval, a function of assigning the page contents as calculating the total page numbers by receiving the data, and a function of temporarily storing the data in the memory(230). A wireless circuit(250) requests the data by accessing a wireless Internet, and receives the data.
