PURPOSE: A method for verifying a signature using a section partition matching and a fuzzy mergence model is provided to check a user confirmation by suggesting a partition method for detecting a partition point stably with respect to a variance of a genuine signature without a sampling process and a mergence model for the final verification. CONSTITUTION: In on-line signature verification, a section is partitioned by a base partition point having a small variance with respect to signature data. Reference signature data and input signature data are separated based on a partition peak point and a valley point according to sections, and a matching is executed. In a signature verification stage, a characteristic average error between two signatures is verified through a value obtained by calculating a fuzzy membership degree using a ZMF(Z-Membership Function) and adding membership degrees of each characteristic.
