AN APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE pH OF SNOW

PURPOSE: A pH density measuring apparatus for snow is provided to simply and rapidly measure pH of snow in a winter season by using a solar battery as an energy source. CONSTITUTION: A pH measuring apparatus includes a casing(2), a cover(4), a storing bottle(5), a measuring bottle(6), a draining tub(7), and a controller(8). A heating wire(3a) is installed in the casing(2) so as to liquefy snow. The cover(4) is moved up and down by means of a first motor(11) and pivotably moved by means of a second motor(12). The storing bottle(5) is provided with a first water level sensor(5a) for detecting water level. The measuring bottle(6) is communicated with the storing bottle(5) through a first valve member(31). The measuring bottle(6) has a second water level sensor(6a) and a pH measuring electrode(6b). The draining tub(7) is communicated with the measuring bottle(6) through a second valve member(32).
